I usually don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but this year I thought about them in a different way. I hope this makes 2012 a better year for you and those around you.
MAKE A RESOLUTION YOU CAN KEEP
“Be Different this Year”
1. Start the New Year Fresh-
2. Before tossing those old things to the curb, donate them to one of your local resale shops. This way the stuff is out of your way and into the hands of someone who can get some more mileage out of it.
3. When making gifts for someone you love, remember to make something for someone you’ve never met as well.
4. Get inspired this year by subscribing to a new publication.
5. Take a class in something you know nothing about. You’ll learn a new skill and meet some new people.
6. Call and reconnect with a friend you have not seen in awhile.
7. Take advantage of your limited spare time. Have your “want to do” projects organized and ready to work on when you are available to work on them.
8. Start writing that book you’ve always wanted to write about all the funny stuff your kids and grandkids have done.
9. Visit that local museum or park you’ve wanted to see. Why wait for a reason to do it.
10. Be a little nicer to yourself this year.
11. Take time for yourself.
12. Remember celebrations don’t have to be big and elaborate. A small box of chocolates and a cup of coffee with a good friend is something to celebrate.
Feel free to add to my list and share them with us if you are so inclined.

The Holiday season has snuck up on me again. As much as I think I am ahead of the holidays they seem to have that tendency to sneak right up behind me, tap me on the shoulder and I am again running as quickly as I can to stay ahead.

Phoenix woke this morning to crisp cold air and snow and school closing in the North. I think winter is here and the holidays are definitely upon us.
If you have been thinking about putting in an order for the Holidays now is the time to place that order. Stop by our web site E.J. Confections and look through our products. We have regular truffles and sugar free truffles, both make wonderful hostess gifts. Our Wine Pairing Medallians make a great "go with" gift for a bottle of wine. Don't forget we ship anywhere.
If you are in the neighborhood I will be at AJ's Fine Foods on 7th Street and Thunderbird this afternoon from 3:00 until about 6:00. Stop over and say hello and I will give you a taste of our wonderful truffles. You can purchase a box of truffles direcftly from me while you are here as well. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Ho Ho HO,
Ellie
